Tina only had one biological child with Ike, Ronald "Ronnie" Renelle. Craig's biological father was actually a saxophonist named Raymond Hill and Ike adopted him. It's implied in the movie that Ike was the biological father of Tina's oldest son, Craig Raymond.In reality, Lorraine attempted suicide in 1958, while Ike and Anna Mae's relationship didn't get romantic until 1960 Lorraine believed the two were having an affair after Anna Mae got pregnant with her first child, but their relationship was platonic at the time. The movie shows Ike and Anna Mae having sex on the night Lorraine shot herself.Louis and brought the kids back with him to Los Angeles after Lorraine told him she was leaving him. Lorraine Taylor didn't drop her children with Ike off at his house with Tina as depicted in the movie.While the movie portrays "Tina's Wish" as the first song Anna Mae records, the first song she recorded was actually "Boxtop".Similarly, when Anna Mae sang her original rendition of "You Know I Love You", Ike played the organ.Kings of Rhythm saxophonist Jackie Brenston was the vocalist.
